In the Bay Area today, many people identify themselves as “spiritual but not religious.”  But the teachings of Jesus, the letters of Paul, and the practice of the earliest Christian churches formed in the 1st century show us that the Christian life is meant to be lived in community.

Why is community so important to the practice of Christianity?  How do we co-create, grow, and build up the beloved community described in so much of the New Testament?  Why do the Gospels show Jesus embracing community over family?  This Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 9:30 a.m., we’ll explore these questions and take time to enjoy some stories from our shared journey as a loving and inclusive community. Our scripture passages are Mark 3:31-34 and Ephesians 4:1-6.
