Pastor Bev is back from a fascinating and jam-packed week in the Holy Land with a PCUSA study team tasked with reviewing our national church’s endorsement of the “two state solution” to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The team met with Christian, Jewish, and Muslim religious leaders, government and military representatives, Israeli and Palestinian human rights workers, the United Nations, experts on water and agriculture, and more. This Sunday, August 30, 2015, at 9:30 a.m., we’ll revisit the Book of Joshua and Jesus’ mission statement in Luke 4, and then wrestle with how a path to just peace can be found in the land where Jesus taught, lived, died, and conquered death.
