Do you have siblings?  Do you all get along?  If you have more than one child, how do you promote peace and friendship among your children? The first murder in the Bible is triggered by sibling rivalry, and God appears to play a part by favoring one brother over another. How do we make sense of this troubling text?

This Sunday, June 29, 2014, at 9:30 a.m., we’ll explore the story of Cain and Abel, sons of Adam and Eve. We’ll examine Cain’s question, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” and look at what this story means for us today in our families and in the world. Our texts are Genesis 4:1-16 and Luke 8:19-21.
